My house is exact orientated in north - south direction.
In the evening I like to watch the sky.
When I look up and follow the front of my 4 floors building, I can see Polaris exact in line with the housefront.
Early in the morning things are different.
Then I can see Polaris 1-2 degrees more to the West.
Polaris star is wellknown for one important reason:It is in line with Earth axis, and therefore it marks the North
Therefore the Polaris star should be in the exact position, each day and night.Changing position within 8-9 hours is not to be expected..
Perhaps somebody can check this him/herself.
