[quote:Person445:MV8yMDY2OTUxXzM0Nzk3Njc5X0EzRjE2QjI4] [quote:pink cat:MV8yMDY2OTUxXzM0Nzk3NjEyXzYyNzkxNTI2] [quote:Person445:MV8yMDY2OTUxXzM0Nzk3NTQxXzg0NDEwRTgw] [quote:pink cat:MV8yMDY2OTUxXzM0Nzk3NDAxX0UxRUZBMUIz] i would like to know if there is a recipe you can make if you have sensitive teeth? i don't WANT to use commercial toothpaste (although the idea of sticking baking soda and castille soap is not appealing to me in the least). but might consider an alternative if there is some sort of natural answer to a toothpaste that help you if your teeth are super sensitive to certain foods and temperatures.
Yes. I have used Desert Essence Natural Tea Tree oil toothpaste and it's great! I avoid Tom's because they sell both floridated and non-floridated toothpastes. Try tea oil on a brush, it's great too. Or simply coconut oil.
i am wondering tho if this will do anything to help my sensitive teeth. if there is a natural way to help that. if i do not use the toothpaste for sensitive teeth, my teeth hurt. i don't know what the ingredient is they use to make tit so your teeth are not so sensitive. i guess i do not even want to know because life with your teeth feeling like they are bring drilled without novacaine when you eat something wrong is pretty hard to deal with.
Your tooth pain is an issue in itself. I have a friend who's dentist wanted $2500.00 to fix her gums, well she couldn't afford that. She used tea tree on her gums everyday and when she returned to her dentist in 3 months, he admitted her gums were cured. natural remedies for sensitive teeth include the following: Vitamin B1 or thiamine: This vitamin will help to reduce your tooth sensitivity and pain. Individuals suffering with tooth sensitive can take about 100 mg daily. Be sure to check the dosage of vitamin B1 with your doctor. Calcium hydroxyapatite: It is a form of calcium that helps to restore the enamel of the tooth, thus reducing your teeth sensitivity. Clove powder: Take about one-fourth teaspoon of clove powder and add 3 to 4 drops of water to prepare a paste. Apply a little amount of clove powder on your sensitive tooth after every meal. This effectively helps to relieve sensitive teeth. Herbs: Mix equal amounts of liquid extracts of horsetail, fennel and white oat bark herbs. Apply a few drops on your sensitive teeth (make sure that you do not apply it on your cracked teeth). You can also use this herbs mixture to rinse your mouth every morning and evening. The horsetail decreases bleeding, fennel soothes the tooth nerves and the white oak bark cleans and tightens gums.
Shoppers study ingredient labels to make sure what they eat and drink is good for them. But there is one ingredient label that is being overlooked -- the toothpaste ingredient label.
"You will brush your teeth 1,000 times per year or more, and each time you do, you will ingest some toothpaste. If you think that is not a problem, think again," says Dentist and Oral Health Expert Dr. Harold Katz. "Some of the ingredients in many commercial toothpastes are undeniably bad for you."
Here is a short list of the basic harmful ingredients Dr. Katz says consumers should know:
* FD&C blue dye No. 2. This dye is in many toothpastes, but the Center for Science in the Public Interest warns against it as it might be related to learning and behavioral issues, severe allergic reactions and other health problems.
