Our consciousness is the third eye.

When they said third eye, they mean if you go blind and your traditional two eyes go bad, you'll still have a perception of reality. This reality is caused by your pineal gland and in essence, it is the "third eye," that keeps your spirit in this reality.

So when we dream, we actually exist on a conscious state because are perceptions are entirely based in this third eye. Everything is imminent and thoughts are manifested into reality because we are present. When we are awake on this realm, nothing we think of comes to present. This is all due to our source being a conduit and restricted by time-space.
