I have heard that the good stuff gets killed in the store brands and you have to get it unpasteurized. I heard Braggs is a good brand?
The best kind has the "Mother" in it still. It contains all the vitamins and minerals. I take it daily as well as coconut oil and molasses. I feel so much more energy sometimes even immediately after drinking acv. The longer you stick it out with all of the them and the more consistent you are the more they pay off. :-)
This. I bought some from Heinz (they now have one with the mother) but also have Bragg's which looks to be a better quality. Unfortunately my stomach doesn't react too well, but occasionally will drink it with water, a drop of sweetener, and apple pie spice.
I didn't know Heinz has started making one with the mother in it. I have Braggs but I saw Trader Joes had one with the mother as well and it was cheaper by a few bucks but I have yet to try it I still have a lot of the Braggs left. I've read an ever increasing amount of people have a yeast overgrowth. I started out getting an upset stomach too but was so determined to stick it out I kept it up anyways and now I never experience any side effects. Craving bread, pizza, and starchy foods all the time is a symptom I experienced. I've also wondered about Celiac disease from gluten. It could be a detox effect maybe? .
Yes Heinz just recently started! It's not as good as Bragg's BUT...at least you can buy it at Walmart lol. I have been doing coconut oil, like you, and that is definitely good for yeast overgrowth as well. At first, when I switched to Nutiva from a cheapie brand...WOW, I was so sick from the detox even though I was taking the same dose, the cheapie stuff was not as good I guess. Do you have celiac disease?
I'm pretty sure I do have it. I have a ton of the symptoms I haven't taken a test to confirm yet though. I do know if I eat the wrong things I feel pretty awful for a couple days. It's unfortunate because it's a lot of the food that I actually really like especially pizza but I try really hard to stay away or I wind up with joint pain, headaches, extreme fatigue etc
Do you get tummy issues when you eat things or is it moreso the joint pain, headache, etc.? Hmmm, it could it be you may just be suited to a lower carb lifestyle? I low carb and if I go off-plan, depending on how much I eat, I may have the same symptoms the next day if I overindulge a bit too much lol.
It's moreso joint pain. It's a nightmare because it takes my productivity level way down to zero some days. I also notice that I am forgetful and feel foggy as a result. Maybe it could be a bunch of things. I actually went and made a checklist of things I want to get checked for so far I've suspected Celiac, Lyme Disease, Diabetes, Candida, Thyroid issues, and vitamin deficiencies. Would certainly suck if I have them ALL! haha Only kidding to have just one or two is quite a nightmare on it's own lol
Some theories suggest that ACV helps to speed up the metabolism, while others suggest that it burns calories. A number of nutritionists also believe that combining Vitamin B6 and Lecithin with Apple Cider Vinegar is highly effective for weight loss. A suggested remedy is to mix 2 teaspoons of ACV mixed with a glass of water and drink this before every meal or sip it slowly throughout the day
Due to its acidic properties, Apple Cider Vinegar makes a wonderful remedy for bad breath or halitosis. Simply add 1/2 tablespoon of ACV into a cup of water and gargle the mixture in your mouth for 10 seconds at a time until the cup is empty.
Apple Cider Vinegar is an effective body odor remedy, since it can help adjust the skin's pH level which helps to eliminate odor-causing bacteria. For armpit odor, simply wipe them once each morning with undiluted apple cider vinegar (using a cotton ball). For foot odor, fill a pan with warm water and add 1/3 cup of ACV, then let your feet soak in this mixture for 15 minutes once per week.
