Original Message Why don't they make cars out of a solar panel like substance, that harvests the energy of the sun, converts it into electricity, or something similar, and store it in batteries where the petrol tank now is. This would be a safer, cleaner way to run small cars. They would only really need to be charged up in winter, unless you have some light set up in your garage that shines a special UV light on the cars. Thus once again using less electricity.

My 7 year old son and I just had a conversation about it, and we decided it would be a good invention.
