I wasn't married and the nature of my job meant I had a few friends. I was a research scientist at SpaceX (yeah they pretty much rule the world in 2089) and was working on StarGate technology. Not for time travel, but for instantaneous travel between 2 planets or large distances. Basically when we tried to test it, I volunteered. And now, here I am.
Sounds like you did not like it much in that time frame/time line. For you did not mention what you missed most about the year 2089. Was it the ease of communication? Great economy? No war? What do you miss from then?
I really miss my timeline. My time travel experience was a god damn accident. I really wanted to be a part of the StarGate venture which would have allowed people to travel between Mars and Earth instantaneously. I miss the futuristic shit we had then. I'm now 45 and won't live long enough to experience it again. Life expectancy was 160 years in the future but it was fucking expensive to get treatment beyond 85 (like 6 figures).
What's on Mars? Why do we want to travel there so fast?
Why not? Besides, it makes it easier for corporations on Mars to do business with Earth, transportation of building/terraforming material etc.. when all they have to do is go through the StarGate.
So... what's on Mars? Do we have colonies there or what? Did you slip out of your time traveling persona accidentally?
I'm from the year 2089.
After testing out a prototype time machine, I went back in time to 2001 and have been stranded since.
As far as I remember from the future history books,
December 3rd 2012
is a pivotal date.
This earthquake changes EVERYTHING.
Although there is a small possibility that my time travelling expedition may have created an alternate reality (your timeline) where all possible future events are now changed..
