Now...for the more serious stuff...so, it was a process that took you to this point. I take it you are "grown up." Were you more rejected or accepted by people as you grew up? Sorry (I know I have been kidding with you along these lines) but, I have to ask: Were you considered pretty while growing up? Did you come from "money" or was your upbringing middle-class or poor? I am trying to see what your past looks like, so I can understand why you are stating things like people are cruel and materialistic. What, over time, caused you to take your present view? I am not analyzing you...I am just curious. We (those who have a a similar view) came to our view via various routes...I am wondering how you got "here."
I suppose I had a normal upbringing compared to a lot of children. Neither me or my sister received much attention from our parents. I fit in well with a lot of children in my neighborhood, but never EVER fit in at school. I guess it was just something to do with me being so left handed and not really in tune with the left brained way they would teach everyone. As I've gotten older I noticed how people only cared about buying the newest toys/electronics and crap they didn't need. Any of that that was in me slowly left me. There are a lot of other things but I'd have to type a whole book to describe it.
I am a bit lost. I do not understand how the "left handed" part fits in. I guess because I am right handed I can only guess at how hard it is to grow up left handed...but...that doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that would make people see the world as materialistic...cruel, yes...materialistic...no.. Sorry...still tired...listening to tunes... I am listening to (if you are a "metal" head...some "symphonic Christian metal" I found the other day...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw-nHquB7d8 Actually kind of "pretty" metal..not thrash and not old school...I digress... Back...what triggered you recently though? I am presuming there was some commercial...or some exorbitant price that you came across or something that triggered the knowledge going from "tacit" to "explicit"....you knew it in your head, but couldn't express it exactly....to now, where you know the world is cruel and materialistic...and can express it?
Seriously, it's like they are so judgmental of one another. And most of them that are materialistic are greedy for completely stupid things. They place value in the wrong places and items even. They're so focused on being hip and trendy that they lose focus on what's really important. Things like spending time with loved ones and people who you care about. Things like taking the time to gain a little wisdom every once in a while. And most importantly taking the time and energy into caring! Tell me what you think. Am I right or wrong?
