[quote:Brian Moser:MV8yMDY5MjEyXzM0ODIyMDI1XzZGRTk2NUI4] In a nutshell, when a person is insecure about who they are or what they believe, criticizing others is the easiest way to create reassurance. What's actually happening though is that through a process called neuroplasticity, they are unintentionally rewiring their brain to continue thinking that way. The same process that teaches us how to control our fingers through experience or become addicted to cigarettes through habit forces the brain to keep the individual locked into a routine. In other words, for one to stop being cynical as an initial reaction all the time, they need to train themselves to see things differently. The irony is that the pessimistic mentality makes it more difficult to see the reason in doing so. [/quote]
Seriously, it's like they are so judgmental of one another. And most of them that are materialistic are greedy for completely stupid things. They place value in the wrong places and items even. They're so focused on being hip and trendy that they lose focus on what's really important. Things like spending time with loved ones and people who you care about. Things like taking the time to gain a little wisdom every once in a while. And most importantly taking the time and energy into caring! Tell me what you think. Am I right or wrong?
