Running.
Sprinting through the woods alongside animals, trees, being a part of nature again, I cannot describe the feeling in words.
If you are ever in a bad mood, just go out into the woods and start running as fast as you can. Don't stop till you can't run anymore, look around you at nature and your spirits will lift. You can feel as every human should, as the native americans felt as they ran like gazelles through the trees, enjoying God's amazing creation.
I was in a bad mood this morning, decided to go sprinting after not running for awhile, went as fast as I could, and the negative feelings were gone.
You can punch things, yell, do whatever you want, but nothing gets rid of anger... it only makes you MORE angry.
Running however releases all your energy, so you have no more to be mad, only happy. When you tire yourself out a lot, your body releases adrenaline and endorphin, making you naturally healthy and happier after getting your heart rate higher.
I don't care if you are 500 pounds and 60 years old, go outside and feel the feeling that has been lost for 100+ years.
It is such a tribal, connecting feeling that is better than any drug.
Run forest, run!
