Original Message I have not seen an event like this in the more than two years that I have visited the NASA SOHO site. There is an explosion or CME on the back end of the Sun. Normally such an event blows out over a period of an Hour or two but this one is still in progress after 9 hours. Also why is it blacking out the background like that? Very strange
