Today, I completely distance myself from most of its beliefs. Is there a way I can NOT be called a fallen away Catholic by you? I am not now and never will be a Catholic again. I could lose my US citizenship by going to another country and becoming a citizen of that country. I would not then be considered a "fallen away American." I would be a citizen of the other country. There would not be some simple path for me to return to being an American. How do I rid myself of ANYTHING Catholic? I am not merely "fallen away" as you say - that would imply that I would go back to the Catholic church - I will NEVER return to it...I would literally rather saw my own head off than return to the RCC. How do I go past "fallen away" to simply "not Catholic?"
I am baptised Catholic too. You cannot rid of the Baptism IMO. You can debunk their pagan teachings and refuse to live by them, though. I do so.
If you can't be "not Catholic" after leaving the RCC...then it would show what kind of cult it is! What, is it the mafia? Once you are in you can never leave? Even God divorced himself from Israel...there has to be a way to leave the RCC in such a way that you are not considered "fallen away" ..hahahahaha...if not, these people on here saying the RCC is not a cult are dead wrong!
I did not say you cannot leave the church. Meant was the Baptism with water and the Spirit you cannot get rid of in your lifetime.
I did not receive the Holy Spirit while in the RCC. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit after I abandoned the false teachings of the RCC...you know...the teachings that say you have to be good enough to get into heaven...something already purchased with the price of Jesus's blood. I do not want to nor could I loose the Holy Spirit. He will be with me forever - praise Jesus!
Glad to hear you speaking like that, bro/sister. Still their teaching about being righteous is biblical, e.g. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in Heaven. … Luke 8:21 He replied, My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice. ... 17Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. John 13 etc.
First of all those priests who actually committed those atrocities are not Catholic nor does my God condone their actions. Some of the allegations are false, drummed up by people wishing to discredit and destroy The Catholic Church.
Some of the people perpetrating these vile acts are in all probabilty infiltraitors who commit these acts for demonic power and to ascend the ladders of their masonic cults.
And the others who have fallen are just in the same proportion as any other institution Chritian or otherwise.
Would you idiots post anti-family comments anytime a post on family matters is written.
If you disagree with something posted here please use logical arguments and not bigotry and hate speech.
For the record I believe that child abuse is one of the most vile and dispicable acts a person can commit.
It brings evil and completely ravages families for generations.
I have dated two women who were abused as young children and have ssen and dealt with the results of those wretched creatures actions.
Neither were priests, one was the brother and the other was the father of my girlfriends.
