According to the Boston College Law School study, "A dentist who is found guilty of violating the ADA Code of Ethics can be sentenced, censured, suspended, or expelled from the ADA" and the "ADA forbids its dentists from suggesting mercury removal under threat of license suspension".
that says the dentist can't suggest removal, the patient can still ask for it and the dentist can do it. My son just had to get his first filling. He went back into the room while I waited in the waiting room. He came out with a mercury filling! I didn't know dentists still used that stuff, my filling was white and non-mercury.
I know the FDA "approves" of the use of mercury, but I believe it is dangerous!
I don't know, I just thought it was archaic to use it nowadays. If it is really dangerous, what can I do? Can he get it refilled by another dentist???
