[quote:Anonymous Coward 10810678:MV8yMDczODgxXzM0OTExNzg1X0QzMUQ3NzlC] [quote:BULLY! BULLY!:MV8yMDczODgxXzM0OTExNTgwX0EwRjM1NzdB] A lot of them will soon be looking for new employment, be patient. If Washington follows other places that has legalized pot the crime rate will drop. Less police will be needed and the ones that stay will be held to a higher standard when they have to do real police work like keeping the peace. Also the large budget for drug enforcement will be cut and since the narcs don't have any other skills you should have plenty of burger flippers and french fryers for when you get the munchies. :bonghit::altcdnflag:
Another thing that might cut the police force is the auto industry. There is talk that they want to make cars that do not require a human driver. You just program where you want to go and it takes you there using GPS I guess. After I read that story I began to have my doubts that the government would ever allow them to do that. I mean, how can a cop give you a ticket if you were not driving? How can you ticket a computer? All that ticket money would dry up and I would think traffic tickets were they number one revenue scam. .
In Washington State on the main Cascade Mountain Pass, Interstate 90. If a driver spins out for any reason, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) will ticket you with 'driving to fast for conditions'. Even if you have chains on and were not speeding. If you hit anything, even a traffic cone, it's an extra $175.
