My mother and father recently lost their home and most of their possesions in a house fire. Luckily, no one was injured and they were fortunate to have very good insurance.
It took 3 months, but they are now in a new home and have put their lives back together.
While digging through the rubble with the insurance adjusters, my brother found a family bible. It is beyond salvage. It was burned badly and also damaged from the water used by firefighters to control the blaze. My brother and I agree that it is somehow not right to just put it in the trash... What is a fitting and respectable way to dispose of it ?
