Original Message
I was walking my dog and another dog ran across the street and attacked her. She got bitten on her paw. My vet is out of town and won't be back til Sunday.
I called another vet in a neighboring town and was told by staff that I should just wash it out with warm water. I asked about using peroxide and was told 'no'. Her paw is obviously sore and I'll probably need to put her on antibiotics but does anyone know of a good mixture for a compress to mitigate infection and swelling?
