I think most are delusional to an extent.  then you have the pot smokers who are paranoid from smoking too much.  I for one find most of what I read equivalent to watching a "finding bigfoot" show.  It passes the time and I get a few laughs.  Generally, happy people are not hoping for the end of the world, sure, bad things happen... but life goes on.  It seems the truly discontented people hate to see anyone else living a good life.
