Revelation 20:2–5 Satan or the dragon of revelations and the MIND.
Pretty scary stuff when you don't understand the mystical understanding, of course it's not literal, it's talking about your mind and your consciousness.
20 And I saw an angel ( an angle of light, the higher consciousness) coming down out of heaven (from your own higher self, the right hemisphere of your brain) , having the key (the key is the higher consciousness within you) to the Abyss ( the abyss is your lower nature, the first three chakras of the body, the abdomen) and holding in his hand a great chain (the chain is a symbol of the higfher mind subduing this ego lower mind). 2 He seized (the angel or higher mind has subdued the lower) the dragon ( the ego), that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan (again, the ego), and bound him for a thousand years ( the 1000 years will be covered below).
3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed ( the seal is the seal of authority that comes from the higher consciousness at the right hemisphere of the brain, the abyss is the place of desires and emotions, in the solar plexus of the body) it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations ( the nations are within you twain, the nations are all of the thoughts that proceed from left brain lower thinking, it also signifies the high country, or the higher mind, and the valley or lower country, the ego mind) anymore until the thousand years were ended.
After that, he must be set free for a short time or little season. To be loosed for a little season means that the lower mind (ego), (who are you? he answers I am a season), a cycle with which the soul evolves to it's higher state, the lower mind is loosed for a little season, until the higher mind is in complete control of the personality, it will no longer hold you in bondage to the lower self.
I saw thrones (thrones is a symbol of the higher mind) on which were seated (seated means one who is in meditation) those who had been given authority to judge ( the higher mind judges all of the negative activity of the lower mind).
And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God ( the word beheaded is of course not literal, that's just silly, to be beheaded in mysticism means that the higher mind is cut off from the lower carnal mind or ego, the testimony is as a witness to yourself that this higher mind has taken form within you).
They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands (This means those that did not allow their thoughts to be pulled back down to lower mind thinking, the mark NOT received means that you did not revert to lower consciousness, which is a symbol of a mark in the forehead, where your brain is).
They ( all of the cells, atoms, dna etc... within the body) came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years ( see 1000 years in the next verse).
When you see numbers in the bible you are looking at numerology, it's not talking about any literal 1000 years, you are reading dark sayings, mysticism.
:A thousand years is as a day, and a day is as a thousand years" meaning is that years days, months and so foe=rth is just filler material for the mythology, and never means actual days or years, t=religions have failed on this account and every other one in the bible.

1 is always a symbol of unity consciousness (god) that is reached by taking no thought in meditation, the no thought is symbolized by entering into nothingness in meditation , hence the zero's 000, 1 god, one zero, you, and into nought or nothingness, the last two zero's.
1000 years is then read God 1, you 0, into nothingness 00, equals the first resurrection of the dead, the dead animal personality.
(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.
In other words the rest of the dead animal personalities living strictly off of their ego natures, will not experience the rapture of the resurrection, until they to have done their 1000 years, that is until they have gone into meditation and and taken their minds into nothingness above the five senses and thought. The 1000 years must be dine bu everyone eventually. They didn't take part in the first resurrection, because they were still dwelling in their carnal minds.
Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. ( In other words blessed are those that did their 1000 years, their meditation into the void or nothingness above the the thoughts of the mind).
You are dead until the first resurrection of the light takes place in you, we are all dead, or dwelling in our carnal minds, we have no life in us.
The second death has no power over them (the second death is making reference to that fact the first death of a person is when they entered in these flesh pots of egypt, this is called the first death of the soul, the second death, is when you symbolically die to your lower self, the second death is a good thing, because you no longer dwell in the lower carnal mind). , but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
In other words you have overcome the lower ego in your meditation and have risen to the higher conscious state. You will be a priest because you have now manifested Christ consciousness, which is the high priest.
Keep in mind that all this stuff is talking about the MIND, and NOTHING else.
Satan's Doom
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth–Gog and Magog–to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
Gog and Magod is the intellect and the lower emotions. The reason that satan (the ego) is released after the 1000 years (your higher state received in meditation), is because the lower carnal mind can no longer hurt you, it cannot come against you anymore, so the release is saying that there is no need to keep the lower imprisoned, because it no longer has any power over you anymore.

WHY? Because even though the lower mind has been subdued, this ego never really gives up trying to rear it's ugly head, so it's really a daily meditation that will help to insure that it does not deceive the nations again. The four corners of the earth, is a symbol of the intellect, the physical, the emotional and spiritual nature of the mind.
They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves.
The earth is the mind.
But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet (The beast is the lower mind, and the false prophet is the intellect that leads this beast our whole lives). had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
The consuming fire from god (the kundalini fire), the higher consciousness eventually wins this battle and this beast (animal mind) is tormented for ever.
One who has overcome his/her own lower carnal animal beastly mind. Making the two one. " I come from the undivided" said jesus.
