[quote:Anonymous Coward 27972246:MV8yMDc3MzUwXzM0OTc1NTAwX0ZENzU1NzI0] [quote:DoorBert:MV8yMDc3MzUwXzM0OTcxMTk4X0FBMDc1QkQ0] Inside Look at Muslim Brotherhood’s Torture Chambers The Muslim Brotherhood replaced Mubarak, but torture chambers remain the same despite the US attempt to make Egypt safe for democracy. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/163015#.UMcvYOQ0WSo
Even in a pure democracy if the minority vote (aka, 49.9999%) does not 'play the game' and go along in peace with the majority (50.0001%), then pure democracy is a farce. People have to allow pure democracy to work and do its thing, or one may was well have an absolute monarch. Even a constitutional democratic republic can only work if the vast majority, aka 99%, of the people allow it to... and only if other Nations keep their butts out of that nation's and that people's internal business. The people of the USA perhaps really need to go back to their own Revolution that created the Article of Confederation and then the U.S. Constitution to get several differing views of that history, and just how it all went together. I think many Americans really no longer even understand our own revolution and the process of forming the States from Colonies, and the forming of a federal government and all the social strife that was going on at the time the Article of Confederation and the US Constitution were being drafted, and the public referendums and State ratifications of such. I keep wondering though about the 'wisdom' or 'folly' of the USA providing such weapons as fighter aircraft to a people who have a very unstable government amongst themselves.
Egypt was preparing for rival protests in Cairo on Tuesday, ahead of a December 15 referendum on a controversial draft constitution, a day after President Mohammed Morsi granted the army police powers, including the right to arrest civilians.
