Original Message 9:30 this morning I hear a huge BOOM! The power goes out but comes back in about 20 seconds.
Then,another BOOM!!! It's gone for good.
I go outside and smell smoke immediately...My neighbors are all out looking around,wondering WTF is going on.
Then...BOOM!!!!BOOM!!!BOOM!!!BOOM!!!!
Every transformer up and down the street bursts into flames,smoke,smell....CRAZY!
My neighbor told me to get out from under the one in my yard so I did and immediately called FPL....Florida Power and Light.
They had no clue.
10 minutes,firemen were on scene. 20 minutes,FPL on scene.... 4 hours later,no progress. No lights. called FPL for answers and discovered they had NO CLUE WHAT HAPPENED,WHY OR WHEN POWER WOULD BE RESTORED.
3:15, power back. Another call to FPL....no comment.
Makes ya go 'hmmmm....'.
