I wrote this in high school for my Economics class(which was roughly 7 years ago). I honestly have forgotten where I got my inspiration from on it, but majority of it was/still is how I perceive modern life for Americans.
"We live in a box world. Though the earth is rounded, everything we do is in cube form. Think about this...we sleep in a box (house), we get in a box(car) to drive to another box (school, office building) and then sit in another box (classroom, or cubicle) within that box. Then after leaving that box, we get back in a box (car), drive to another box (store of some kind), to grab items that are packaged and shipped via boxes( put in an actual box, then loaded into trucks, ships or cars). Everything we humans do is similar to a computer's infrastructure nowadays. We even watch boxes (TVs) for entertainment, or play on a box(Xbox, Playstation) on the box. Even sports are played in boxes (stadiums, boxing rings, etc).
So in order to think OUTSIDE the box, you must first identify that everything around you is one."
Ironic that I make this post while typing in a box within a box
Anyway, thanks for reading if you did, and feel free to share your own thoughts on this or perceptions on the world :)
