[quote:ajk:MV8yMDc5NTkyXzM1MDMxMDcxXzIzNTZCM0RG] [quote:DOT 2 DOT:MV8yMDc5NTkyXzM1MDMwOTQ4X0M2Q0EwNDUy] We don't "allow" or "disallow" private corporations to do anything, they do what they want to do. And you know this issue goes WAY beyond "seeing a boob or two" don't try to paint a picture of porn as something innocuous and normal, it's not.
Well if we don't protect our freedoms to search for the things we want to without them telling us we cannot, we WILL lose them. Do you want us to become like China? Cause steps like this among others starts us down that road........don't think it can't happen. You missed my point entirely. The whole reason people are so fucked up in the head about sex is that because it is this HUGE taboo as you grow up, don't talk about it, don't think about it, and whatever you do don't act on it. That messes with our minds. Sex is a natural thing, and the hormones we feel growing up, the desires we have are natural, normal, there is not a thing wrong with them. But when you teach a child the opposite, for one, you BEG for rebellion as they are gonna want the things you tell them not to anyway, which hurts both them because they are flying without a net and your relationship to them, because they won't talk to you about these things as you won't have their trust, and two, they will not be equipped to handle themselves not being taught how to safely. They're GONNA be exposed to these things, be it tame or not so tame things. If it's not the internet it will be somewhere else. Do you want them to be ready to handle it when they come up and be able to talk to you about it, or would you rather they just hide it away from you and go off on their own creating all sorts of problems for themselves? Because the more you demonize all of this, the more you ask for all the problems you see with kids. From teen pregnancies to abortions, to STD's, it is a direct result of lack of parenting and education about sexuality. Telling them no just does not work.
...because it thinks people will be offended.
What if Google decides to censor images of Jesus because atheists get offended?
