Original Message My wife wants an I Pad for Christmas. I don't mind getting her one, however, I have this pesky problem of wanting to buy things of actual use.
My question is this, what is the point of and I Pad? I can get a mini for $329, it has 16g. Why would anyone buy one when a full laptop (320g+) is about $100 cheaper? I jut can't justify spending more money to get something less. It does not make sense tome. Does anyone have a thought on what the point would be in getting an I Pad? She already has a 32g ipod touch so it is not like she needs it for music or apps.

I just need some input so I can try to explain to her how ridiculous it is to get this thing.
