[quote:Anonymous Coward 7570540:MV8yMDgxODQ4XzM1MDU2MDcwXzg0OEY1RUI=] Sorry - I hit post and my response (above) disappeared. I'll try again. Aspergers kids do sometimes have that condition. They do feel emotional pain (overly so) but only as relating to them - they don't connect to others and are unconcerned that another person feels bad. They can throw some big tantrums when they don't get their way, and they often cannot seem to admit that they are wrong about something or take responsibility for their own actions: mom didn't put the homework in the bookbag, mom left the lunch on the table, the other kid started the argument, the teacher didn't explain well enough or lied, etc. They also can get very tied up in computer/video games and teachers and parents should be careful using that as a reward because it's not healthy in the long-term. Unfortunately, I know a lot of parents of such children who don't see a problem with gaming and even encourage it because it keeps the child happy and calm and out of their hair. [/quote]

Sorry, don't have a link for this yet. But just heard on Fox News that people who knew Adam when he was younger said he had a condition where he couldn't feel pain. They had to be careful playing sports with him because he could get hurt and not know it. Has anybody ever heard of this before?
Will try to find another source confirming this.
