This is shallow thinking. We need some DEPTH of thought before we find the answer.
You're dead wrong. I am writing a piece for our newspaper right now about this very issue. Here is the real problem with american society. And we are exporting this to the whole world. over the past 50 or so years, americans have isolated themselves in their homes and in their hearts. We have slowly been introducing our young minds to more and more extreme violence.. It started in the movie theaters and moved into our TV's. It started in the music in the 90's with gangbanger shit talking about cop killers and ho's. Then it moved into the video games. by 2010 our children our inundated with violence.. There children shows are all about snappy comebacks and disrespect. Their is not a single example of love for others shown to them - ANYWHERE! They learn to think only of themselves. oddly, the nature of children is to care and to share, but their fucked up parents break them of this before they are teenagers.. So a child sees how his parents care only about facebook and their own shit and the child conforms to this. by the time that child is an adult he doesn't care about you, me or anyone but himself. He truly doesn't care! let me ask you, do you care at all for a passerby on the street? Do you care at all for the kid behind the register? Do you care at all about the guy in the car to your left? Do you care at alll about the woman in the office down the hall?. and yet, when a tragedy like this happens all of the sudden we all care. Bullshit! What are your actions going to be? Are you going to write a letter to the families? Will you send flowers? Will you shed a tear? Fuck no! Because deep down in your dead cold heart you DON'T CARE. . And your pride keeps you from even accepting that I am correct and have revealed your true selfish nature. this is root of the problem! Loveless people are raising loveless kids and have been for decades now. And when those kids snap we all act astonished. Fuck! The guy just did what he had been programmed to do since childhood.. It was in his music, his video games, his tv shows and the movies he watched. if we don't fix our hearts and start opening up our lives to others we're a doomed society.
And who buys these violent games with clear rating on them saying 17+ for their 9 year old kids all the time? the parents. who are the ones to blame game developers marketing to an older audience or the Parents too occupied to pay attention to what they are buying and what TV shows they are allowing them to see. I agree TV, Movies, and video games are becoming much more violent and some having heavy propaganda or anti government content. Parents still have to take responsibility to what they let their kids watch and play and their are tons of little 9 year old's playing Call of duty because the Parents are bad.
right. Loveless parents raising loveless kids.. The parents today think it is easier to put the kid behind a tv than to play chutes and ladders with them.. Why? Because their parents did it to them with an Atari. Only now, everything either teaches violence or selfishness. Even kids shows are always about getting what you want, not giving to others. believe me, I have a 6 and 9 yr old and I am fighting society every day.
New York Times:
Check out the latest video game titles and themes in the New York Times. They send out an e-mail news teaster and right below the shooting story is an advertisement for "Assasins" etc. Anybody actually think these things don't contribute to this atmosphere of violence is an idiot. These are the things that need banning!
