[quote:Anonymous Coward 29250388:MV8yMDgzMTkxXzM1MDc3NTkxX0VGMEZGNzBB] Screw Seinfeld and his contribution to the war on Christmas. If you want to replace traditional holiday activities with a pole dance, dirty santa, and the airing of grievances, go right ahead. But dont expect me to follow you. What is wrong with TRADITION? I told my son when he asked for the truth about Santa, that Santa represents the spirit of giving at Christmas, that he was a real saint, and that giving to others was what makes the holiday season special. If you are using the Santa myth to keep your children's behavior in line you are really playing a dangerous game.
When your children realize that Santa is BS they'll start to question everything you tell them or have ever told them...which I suppose is a good thing on one level, but not great when you tell them the truth or something important.
Celebrate FESTIVUS instead
- not a single made up mythical figure -
