"Cans of Diet Pepsi around the country now list a mix of two artificial sweeteners, a pairing that is commonly found in newer diet sodas. Previously, Diet Pepsi used only aspartame, which is sensitive to heat and breaks down more easily"

"Acesulfame K apparently produced lung tumors, breast tumors, rare types of tumors of other organs (such as the thymus gland), several forms of leukemia and chronic respiratory disease in several rodent studies, even when less than maximum doses were given. According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, it was petitioned on August 29, l988 for a stay of approval by the FDA because of "significant doubt" about its safety."
I know most sodas are bad. And I'm a Pepsi drinker. But you have to be kidding me. They just started adding acesulfame potassium to all Diet Pepsi's, and after a quick google search, it's apparent that this is not only toxic, but cancer causing and can onset hypoglycemia. WTF.
This is the same set of ingredients they tried with their failed expiriment "Pepsi Next". It's fairly obvious what happened here. They most likely have tons of this garbage they can do nothing with since the public outright rejected Pepsi Next, so they're just oing to dump this trash in all their other products so they don't lose any of the money they invested in it. Disgusting.
Oh well, time to start finding something else to drink when it comes to soda.
