Original Message They came to the door last Thursday and said they would be blocking the driveway in order to cut a large limb from a very large Willow tree that was over the powerlines going down the driveway. After they left, when I was going to the store, I was shocked to see that they had also cut my Mulberry tree to the ground!!

I called National Grid and a very nice customer service lady took my complaint and forward it to the local Supervisor who called the next day and said he would come on Monday. But he was already trashing how Mulberry trees interfere with power lines.

This was a 10 foot tree about 15 feet from the powerlines, not anywhere near the lines. In fact, the branches tended to lean to the other side of the property.

The Supervisor comes and is telling me that his crew said that the tree was interfering with the lines and that National Grid has the right to cut anything it wants...within their 10 foot right of way. He kept arguing this same story, not listening to what I was saying,

They trespassed on my property and cut my prized Mulberry tree..the most important tree, to me, on my property. I love the berries and know all about the medicinal properties. They left the mostly dead Willow tree...and other shrubs and directly went and hacked my Mulberry tree to the ground.
