Don't let them watch trash on tv, and by the time they do, morals will be their foundation; they will grow up to be great people.
Here you go... except take it one step further -- HOME SCHOOL them in rural America. That GREATLY increases your odds of having a mature, quality child that grows into a mature quality man or woman. Why would any sane person turn his child over to COMPLETE STRANGERS for six hours a day?!
And then you're left with someone who has been completely sheltered without developing any real social skills and friendships. And when the time comes for them to go off to college or become part of the workforce, they'll be overwhelmed with......PEOPLE! Parents just need to be parents and stop blaming everything and everyone else. We need to be loving, compassionate, as well as firm and disciplined. Be their parents, not their friends. Keep kids of these damn prescription meds too!
Your arguments lack knowledge and have no substance. You are parroting what the system tells you to say. How many public schools encourage students to socialize?! You get sent out in the hallway for that. How many situations in real life do you only interact with people your same age? NONE! Social skills are not the same as cliques and sports. I have 5 kids that have been homeschooled that would not only out test any of your "well socialized" kids, but excel in any job they perform, have a great group of intelligent, Christian friends, and can interact with any age-group just fine, including adults. Save me the parrot act, it's not gonna cut it. Get your kids out of school, take some responsibility and teach them yourself!
Seriously...
emotionally, physically, mentally...
a world that offers stability, sanity, love, warmth, promising futures?
we continue to point fingers and blame, but nobody is willing to stand up and make a difference.
this world has gone completely insane.
and our kids are left alone to cope with it.
we, as adults, are doing nothing to offer compassion or understanding.
this is the core issue.
