[quote:Anonymous Coward 28057136:MV8yMDg0NTM1XzM1MTAxNjIwX0IwOUMzNUJF] [quote:geminilion:MV8yMDg0NTM1XzM1MTAxMzQ0X0U3NjA5NENB] I just wrote this long reply and accidentally deleted it..ugh. I wouldn't want to be a kid these days or a parent, it's a different world then when I was growing up. I will tell you that I've noticed that a lot of kids dictate to their parents instead of the other way around. Parents want to be friends and are afraid that little Johnny might hate them or get mad. Also a lot of younger people have zero respect for their elders. When I see a young person do something nice I go out of my way to tell them. As when I go to get on the bus and the 18 year old practically pushes the old ladies with bags out of the way to get on an empty bus..it pisses me off. The media and brain washing trash television that young people watch is a huge part of the problem. 16 and Pregnant, The Real World where it is perfectly acceptable for young ladies to get drunk, black out and have sex with whomever they run into to..it's sick. I could go on and on LOL. Something has to be done and quick. I fear for the future of our earth if we are to leave it in the hands of people who cannot function.
I agree. But not all kids are like that. My son is perfect...:peace: Television is terrible. It was years ago and it seems to get only worse. But what can one do? Forbid too watch or forbid the tv producers to make that kind of trash? Maybe teach the children that it is trash and they better not watch it?
Seriously...
emotionally, physically, mentally...
a world that offers stability, sanity, love, warmth, promising futures?
we continue to point fingers and blame, but nobody is willing to stand up and make a difference.
this world has gone completely insane.
and our kids are left alone to cope with it.
we, as adults, are doing nothing to offer compassion or understanding.
this is the core issue.
