You people do realize that it doesn't get dark exactly at the moment the sun sets, right? There is a period after sunset (and before sunrise) called "twilight" during which you have the transition from the light of day to the dark of night (or vice versa).
Yes, of course, we realize that it is not immediate "lights out" when the sun sets. However, here in Denver, we cannot see the sun set below the horizon because of the mountain range so I don't know if the timing of the sunset is off or if the sun IS brighter or what, but can anyone explain why THIS year, I am not needing to turn on my headlights until at least 20 minutes later than the same dates in previous years? I am NOT saying that something weird is occurring -- the explanation might be perfectly natural and no "doom" at all -- but sunset/twilight IS weird this month, so if anyone can explain it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
It's pretty astounding that you think you can remember what time you turned on your headlights on a given day a year ago.
ughhh some people pay attention to details and some don't. Judging by your response I can conclude that you are one who obviously doesn't? lol
What time did you turn on your headlights this week last year?
Christmas time stands out last year and it was definitely earlier than this year. Ok here's one for you. Off the top of your head which light is at the top of a street light green red or yellow? Just wondering we see it all the time but most are on autopilot and then there's some of us that see beyond.
You "see beyond" what, reality? I'm sure you think you do. Do you have ANY solid evidence that it's lighter, later this year than last other that your memory? ANYTHING AT ALL?
The fact that you didn't answer my question tells me that you aren't sure. I don't see beyond reality. But I surely pay attention to detail. The answer to this is get off the thread and go look morning and night. If you don't see anything off then quit coming here to prove you know the answer. If you see something off then join the club. But honestly rationality tells me we have nothing to gain here except a headache and wasted time with all this silly banter. Its like people who talk shit on songs they don't like on you tube. Gahhh don't like it it don't listen grow up and stop trying to poop on the party? So to speak.
I consider it a duty, of sorts, to debunk the wild, hysterical, doomsday claims and predictions you seem to think of as a "party". The fact that you think random people can have discovered that the sun is setting late, or whatever you think this "off-ness" is speaks volumes and so does the fact that you didn't answer MY question. I didn't answer you because it makes no difference at all to the question at hand.
Ummm I did answer your question for one thing.
I believe you did not. Here is my question, which is quite relevant to the issue at hand: Do you have ANY solid evidence that it's lighter, later this year than last other that your memory? ANYTHING AT ALL? [quote:_Obsidian_:MV8yMDg2MjA0XzM1MTQ5MzcxX0VFRjdFQzUy] For two im not listening to random people I came here to discuss what I saw with my own two eyes and it just so happened to be the case that other people in various areas noticed it too.
I believe what what you are discussing is something you claim to REMEMBER, hmm? [quote:_Obsidian_:MV8yMDg2MjA0XzM1MTQ5MzcxX0VFRjdFQzUy] It may not be doom. There could be a rational explanation for it. Like what the OP posted recently. If that is your duty good luck also good luck with that round peg we all know how that turns out. In other words I don't think you'll get much accomplished. But I admire your conviction despite your outwardly condescending tone lol
Oh, I have been thanked many times for pointing out the flaws in the claims of people who insist there are things "wrong" in the sky. How about in your part of the world? Just google your city and say 'sunset' and the time should come up.
