[quote:chincha:MV8yMDg3NzYxXzM1MTU0MTEwXzQ4OERGMUQz] [quote:Whit3 Rabbit:MV8yMDg3NzYxXzM1MTUyNTcxXzRCQjI5MUMz] [quote:PIR:MV8yMDg3NzYxXzM1MTUyNTI0XzQ2QUY5MTA5] It appears that the sunset times are correct but the observed extension of visible light and the extended time needed for artificial light may be due to increased luminosity of the Sun. So the "illusion" that the Sunset is later is just that but the noted extension of visible light is NOT an illusion but observation of a true anomaly. So in conclusion the orbital status of the Sun and Earth are correct but the Sun has become so much brighter that the radiated energy is extending or diffusing into the atmosphere far beyond the norm and therefore illuminates the sky well beyond the norm. So...the Sun may be going into a hyper state of illumination at this time. If this is the case...look out! :hiding:
So I wonder if this has anything to do with the Red Dwarf theory?
This is very feasible explanation of this anomaly. Official sunset in the Toronto area is 4.43 PM, east was getting really dark, but west was strongly illuminated till 5.15 PM, slowly fading away about 5.30 PM. It looks more like the Pane Androv's - Red Giant Star theory: start watching at 40 min. mark.
