[quote:Anonymous Coward 17401573:MV8yMDg4NDE0XzM1MTc1NDcyX0FCOTIxODk1] You guys should read about the Keshe foundation. No doubt Iran is hiding something from the world audience and why not..save the best for last. Seriously tho two drones taken down without damage and the fact that they deal with gravity and physics. http://pesn.com/2012/08/05/9602152_Keshe_Foundation_claims_Iran_in_possession_of_superior_defense_capabilities/ [/quote]
The deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says Iran’s domestically manufactured unmanned aerial vehicles are more sophisticated than the United States’ ScanEagle drones.
“The technology used in the ScanEagle is very old and our UAVs are much more advanced than them,” IRNA quoted Brigadier General Hossein Salami as saying on Tuesday.
“Iran can be considered one of the leading [UAV manufacturing] countries” with its “stealth, very long-range, and accurate UAVs,” Salami added.
Commenting on the ScanEagle drone, which the IRGC captured after it entered the country’s airspace over the waters of the Persian Gulf, the senior Iranian commander said, “IRGC forces have the technology to respond to any act of aggression and to bring down and take control of such encroaching aircraft.”
On December 4, IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi announced that the drone had been captured a few days before.
