Good one, AR! D3 deficiency is rampant!
Yup. I learned the hard way when my newborn baby got jaundice years ago. That was quite a scare and my wife was freaking out. Had to do light therapy. My wife was taking prenatal vitamins but I was confused why it happened so I did a lot of researching and found out that pregnant mothers need 4000 IU a day compared to 400 IU that was recommended! Crazy. Thinking back, we got really sick from some kind of virus when my wife was pregnant and it turns out that taking vitamin D at the right dosage helps prevent that. Sucks. It had to be the worst case I've ever experienced.
Just an FYI: D deficiency in pregnant women can cause a host of problems with the children. http://www.healthychild.com/pregnancy-and-gestational-vitamin-d-deficiency
He is just now able to raise his head. He is a happy, curious little guy who does not complain. He is on both formula and breast fed and throws up each. They have put him on meds for acid reflux as his MRI suggest he may be suffering from that.
Any suggestions of help would be greatly appreciated and thank you for any assistance. He is a little trooper.
Prayers are welcome as well and his name is Peyton.
