Original Message so I was just looking for some footage of space, from space lol because i think its fascinating and awesome to look into the vast numbers of stars and wonder about those incomprehensible distances.. anyways..

watch from 1:38 to 1:43 in the background of this video.. forgive me if i'm mistaken but aren't shooting stars supposed to interact with the earth's atmosphere to produce that streaking light effect? and the camera is clearly pointing away from the earth...teach me oh wise ones.. what is streaking like that across the sky?
