AND HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE:

Over a week ago, this was announced:

Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence has signed off on her will and is prepared for death, APTN National News has been told.

Spence’s will includes a description of who will care for her daughters and she has also signed off on directions requesting non-intervention if her health takes a turn for the worse. The documents are in the hands of her lawyer, aides told APTN National News.

Spence began her hunger strike Dec. 11 to force a meeting between Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Gov. Gen. David Johnston and First Nations leaders.

Huddled in an Indian tent with a few close friends to encourage her, fighting the Canadian government on an island in the Ottawa River near Ottawa, in below freezing temperatures, with a wood fire and no solid food -

Chief Theresa Spence of the Attawapiskat First Nation has completed her 13th day of a hunger strike. Only a medical examination would reveal if and when her cells begin to die and when permanent kidney and liver damage will make physical recovery impossible.

Her goal: a personal meeting with Prime Minister Stephen Harper, so that the government of Canada for the first time begins serious negotiation of longstanding treaty disputes, plus the recently enacted omnibus Bill C-45.

The legislation amends the Navigable Waters Protection Act, which will allow the government to approve projects on more than 160 lakes without consulting First Nations. Bill C-45 also makes changes to the Indian Act, including changes to land management procedures on reserves, which will make it easier to lease out land for economic development without consulting band residents.

The impact of these changes will be devastating for many First Nations communities, fearful of pollution of land and water.

There is also continuing frustration over a lack of action in the cases of more than 600 aboriginal women who have been murdered or gone missing in the past 20 years.

IDLE NO MORE protests have spread across Canada, involving tens of thousands of protestors. Supporting flash mobs, round dances, and demonstrations have already spread to Europe and several locations in the USA.

The Canadian National Railroad tracks between Sarnia, Ontario, and the USA border have been shut down now for 3 days.

Canada's aboriginal people are largely disenfranchised, on reserve or off reserve, because of 19th-century racist legislation which accords them the same legal status as dependent children. The government continues a very divisive disinfo campaign against the efforts of Native groups, choosing to demonize them to gain political traction.

As a matter of record, the meaning and intent of the original treaties signed with Indian Nations in Canada have been ignored for generations.

The now infamous "residential schools" programs across the country, which lasted into the 1990's, have been proven by scholars to have been nothing but an institutionalized policy of genocide, facilitated by the Catholic Church, the Church of England (Anglican), and the United Church of Canada, with collaboration between the RCMP and the highest levels of the Canadian government.

The location of mass graves are now known, where children deliberately infected with TB were buried by the thousands. Shocking tales of murder, sexual abuse, and even medical experimentation are now being documented in Brussels by the International Common Law Court.
