Place a large body of mass, ie a planet A, in the grid. This mass warps the space time grid causing slopes and streaches in the grid. When another body approaches proximity to this, call it planet B, it is affected by the warping of space time in form of attraction to planet A. This is gravity.
Relativity talks about "warping of spacetime". But... What is spacetime?
Space time is an energy field. Matter warps space time because it "draws it" in. The energy field is what sustains all matter in it's physicality. It's also the power behind the Sun, the heating of the core of the Earth ect. Gravity is the effect of being in range of this draw. The more matter the higher the draw hence the more gravity. Asking "what is space time" is like a fish asking "what is water". I think it's ironic that we run wires everywhere. Kind of like fish running water pipes. Good question OP; very poorly understood but simple thing. Like the leaves of a tree move with the wind so are the effects of our unseen ocean of energy we live in; they're all around us. :bump:
