However, the Dell is cheaper, you can order parts and upgrade it yourself, and I don't need to tell you that PC has a much larger body of available software. The Apple laptop will have the same hardware at a much higher mark-up. Less bang for your buck. Check, and post, BOTH video cards. That is important. And whether the RAM is shared or dedicated in the GPUs. I bet the Dell's is more powerful. Both the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro models feature the integrated, energy-efficient Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor, Dell: 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM processor (6M Cache, up to 3.2 GHz , TPM) MEMORY 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory VIDEO CARD NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM HARD DRIVE 1TB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive Dell with Windows 8 and $400 cheaper. Apple with 13 inch display and 1TB HD with 8GB RAM.
Dell with 15 inch display and 1TB HD with 8GB RAM.
Battery life on the Apple around 7-8 hours.
On the Dell maybe 2 hours.
Both have backlit keyboards.
Heard SSD drives only last up to 5 years, and an extra $1000 for half the space.
With the Dell all my programs are easy to install and I know how to use.
But the Apple would be fun to learn.
Anyone got any suggestions why I should go with the Apple?
