bear in mind, knowing what i know and having done research in both greek and hebrew, i still choose not to believe in jesus for my own reasons. this however, does not mean there isnt some truth in the bible and other ancient texts.
in rev 13:18 it describes the number of the beast. 666, right? when you look that up in the greek, this is what you get. you get the word chi xi stigma which means: the 22d, 14th and an obsolete letter (4742 as a cross) of the Greek alphabet (intermediate between the 5th and 6th), used as numbers; denoting respectively 600, 60 and 6; 666 as a numeral: --six hundred threescore and six.
now, when you break that word down and get to what *stigma* means....this is what you get: from a primary stizo (to "stick", i.e. prick); a mark incised or punched (for recognition of ownership), i.e. (figuratively) scar of service: --mark.
notice those words.... STICK or PRICK or INCISE. those are all words describing how a microchip would be implanted. most nowadays are small enough to go through a needle.
my reference is go to the strong's concordance and look up rev 13:18 and look at the numeric value for 666 which give you 5516. then look up stigma which is 4742.
