Crime is out of control in Australia. There are band of criminals roaming freely about, wielding machetes and committing unspeakable crimes. And, there's the video in this thread. The video alone speaks volumes. So lie all you want, bloke.
Yeah we got crime but not like you describe it? That video is OK...it's true a small minority of the population was pissed about it..nonetheless the legislation was passed with support from all major political parties and the government that introduced it was subsequently re elected ...so are you seriously arguing with democracy? We don't do elected Kings in Australia our government can always be fired by the parliament at any time by a simple majority vote and by the people at election time. There isn't a lot to weep about when it comes to gun control in Australia...the guns were not stolen and owners were compensated - as you can see in the video some felt hard done by but they were given compensation. People can still own guns legally in Oz, getting a gun license is not that hard. :hiding:
On the whole, Australia is a far different place than the States. Again, I refer you (yet another Australian) to your History texts. You might want to read about how we as a nation were founded. Different mindset entirely. We weren't deported criminals. We were the people who left Europe on purpose, and said "fuck you" - with a rifle - when it came down to brass tacks. A lot of us here are descendants of those people, and the so-called "gun culture" is ingrained in us. It's who we are. If you can't accept that, then please, kindly shut the fuck up and mind your own business. Thanks.
