[quote:Savannah:MV8yMDk2MDAxXzM1Mjk5Nzc4Xzc5M0JGRTk4] [quote:Nine's:MV8yMDk2MDAxXzM1Mjk5MDAzX0E0RTdBNzUy] Topaz is beautiful! Just look at those eyes. I hate hearing about your troubles, and about someone allowing a child to mistreat that poor puppy. That just makes me sick. It's so amazing that even though they may have been mistreated, they don't dwell on it, but focus on being thankful for everything. Topaz must be very thankful. Thank you for sharing your touching story and your beautiful friend. (talk about hijacking...that's me) LOL. But she's just too pretty to not comment.
Thank you very much for your comments Nine's. She is utterly adorable and those eyes are beautiful, aren't they? Like you, I am sickened by what was done to her. I am just glad that she is safe now and seems to be happy. She has her mischievous moments; particularly when she wishes to be 'helpful' by taking the washing off the line and 'folding it' (read this as 'gently grabbing fresh laundry that she can reach, and piling it on top of itself, 'just so', when I let her outside alone for less than five minutes) Even though this is 'helpful' *cough*, I have been letting her know that her assistance in the matter is not actually required! And, if I am gone for five minutes, she drags her lead to the back door, as if I may have forgotten it, and lays it out the whole length, so that I cannot miss seeing it there (I am trying to break her of the 'separation anxiety' she has experienced, by being taken from her mother so young, and she is always on lead in the house as we have cats here, too) I ignore the lead when she lays it out though, until I am ready to allow her inside. As for my own troubles? Ahh...I try not to focus on them either, and am just thankful for what I do still have. It sounds like a Hallmark Card in the making, but thinking that way has seen me through a great deal of what I experienced last year. I don't always manage to be happy about it all, but I get there, more often than not. Once again, thanks Nine's! :hf:
