It's called "Alternate Day Fasting," and I've lost about eleven pounds (I have twenty to lose, in total) since May. I know that's very slow, but they say it's better to lose slowly rather than quickly. I even maintained my weight through the holidays (as of last Sunday :-)! There are several benefits to this approach, including a marked reduction in inflammation, which is a causal factor in many disease processes, amelioration of asthma, and also it can extend lifespan, according to research. The best part is, you can pretty much eat what you want every other day that you're not "fasting." I try to eat healthily all days, but Sunday is "junk food day" - yippee!
