Original Message Since Dec. 14,2012, I, along with many other people, have been trying to sift through the conflicting media reports to find out what happened at Sandy Hook. I started a few threads that deal with the inconsistent media reports about Ms. Soto's class: who survived, how they survived, and who died.

Thread: Another Sandy Hook Inconsistency - Caught on local talk radio
Thread: UPDATE: Sandy Hook Inconsistencies Abound - Survivors from Ms. Soto's class - Censored by WTIC radio

This thread addresses conflicting reports about Ms. Rousseau's class, the only other classroom (so we're told) that shooting took place.

One local paper, the Hartford Courant, reports that one student from Rousseau's class survived. Here's the article, from 12/31.

and an exerpt:
"About 30 minutes later, gunman Adam Lanza blasted his way into Sandy Hook Elementary. He entered Rousseau's classroom and killed her and all but one of her students, who somehow survived the shooting. Lanza killed 20 children in two classrooms and shot six adults to death before killing himself."

Another local paper, the Connecticut Post, reports that the same student later died at the hospital. The article from the Post is also dated 12/31.

and the key passages:

"The room is full of the bodies of children. But one child, a little girl, still shows signs of life.

A tall, muscular man, Chapman scoops the child into his arms and runs out to find an ambulance. He tells the little girl she is safe, that the police are there to protect her and that she is loved."

Later in the same article:

"The little girl she and her crew rushed to the hospital is pronounced dead."

If you read the whole Post article, it's clear that the girl who dies is the girl found alive in Rousseau's class.

My question is this: why, after two weeks, are two Ct. daily papers reporting drastically different outcomes for this child? Hasn't there been enough time to clear up the confusion? Shooting supposedly took place in two classrooms only. The shooter was supposedly dead when police entered the building. Why so much confusion, this long after the event?
