[quote:God is Love! 25746694:MV8yMTAwNzc2XzM1MzkyMjQ1XzNFMDY1QkE5] [quote:Voice In The Wilderness:MV8yMTAwNzc2XzM1MzkxNjU4XzRDMTAxMTY3] It's called the Godhead. The Hebrew word 'Elohim' is both singular and plural, referring to the Godhead of the Father and Jesus Christ. Both were involved in the act of Creation, however, it was Jesus Christ who spoke the words and formed man. In other words, absolute proof one should think before he speaks. [/quote] Amen! Op, may God bless you and open your eyes to see His Holy Word, the Spirit of truth, read the Book of John. John 1:1-14 1:1 ¶In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 1:6 ¶There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. 1:8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 1:14 ¶And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. God bless! [/quote]

Genesis (Bereshit) 1:1 to 2:4 the elohim (plural) gods created everything including man and rested.
Starting with 2:4 a brand new god (singular) makes a man out of the dust of the earth and a woman out of his rib...you all know the story.
How is this possible?
Why does the preacher NEVER touch on this. EVER. Go read it for yourself it will only take a few minutes and you will be amazed. There are two completely different creation stories. I do not think anyone has ever posted on this contradiction. Which story is right or are they both lies. If the Bible is a LIE from the first few words at the get-go in Genesis, can you accept anything at all coming after?
Please, do me a big favor and go read the first two chapters and tell me what you think. I would appreciate it.
