[quote:Anonymous Coward 3707684:MV8yMTAxMzI3XzM1NDA3NzExXzI1MTkyRTYz] [quote:Anonymous Coward Your attitude is precisely why we have problems like this. You clearly are not a parent and do not understand the choice of doing what is right for them versus what they want. Their behavior currently lacks love and rational guidance. It is this soft behavioral response and completely taking the "teeth" away from parents that got us into this situation in the first place.
Yes I am parent, a grandparent also. As I stated above. I did not punish my children, I corrected them as needed and at times, required a swat on the rump to get full attention. I raised wonderful conservative children, they did not cuss, drink, smoke, have trouble with the law, or ever told me no. They stayed virgins through school, were honor students, good skilled work ethics and helped friends to stay safe and out of trouble also. Ya? people like me should never have kids like this? I was an orphan, raised as a foster kid, ward of the court. That should never happen to any kid. I did everything possible to make sure nothing like that ever happend to my kids and all the other troubled kids we met along the way. You speak of things you know nothing of. Parents, do not call the police on your children, there are other ways of dealing with things. Your children will never forgive, forget or trust you for destroying their lives. I grew up with children in the juvinile criminal system. I never did anything criminal, my crime was being an orphan. But I do know what I am talking about. Put them in the criminal system, all their associates are criminal orriented, they will learn eveything criminal. Lost forever. Children learn what they live. They can only live and learn, patience, peace, honesty, compassion, trust, security and love at home, no other place on earth. If home does not live this, they will may never experience or learn it by living example.
Police say two California teenagers used a prescription sleeping medication to spike the milkshakes of too-strict parents so they could log onto the Internet.
The parents called police and the 15-year-old Rocklin girl and a 16-year-old friend were taken to Juvenile Hall. Rocklin is 20 miles northeast of Sacramento.
