DNA is constantly changing. You yourself have DNA mutations not found in either of your parents.
Really, so am i going to 'evolve' into a what, next step is a spirit creature?
Your mutations are pretty much done when you are born. But regardless the mutations are there. Every generation will have mutations not found in the prior generation. So if you take a thousand generations and just what do you think will happen?
cancer/extinction, what do you is happening, perfection?
The genetic code that leads to such flaws will be shunted out by dying off. The stronger mutations will live on. But what I was getting at is that if you take the fact that every generation has new and different mutations and you multiply that by thousands of generations, then generation one and generation 1000 would be incredibly different. If this goes on long enough it is feasible that generation 1 and 1000 wouldn't be able to produce offspring with one another due to being so genetically different. Therefore they would be a new species.
