Yes, circumstances factor in quite a bit...as does the difference between physical capability (getting up on ones feet quickly) or mental capability (coping/emotional processing).

Knowing how you react to a volume of different things helps you see those paths thru obstacles that can increase your processing ability...which is why LIVING and EXPERIENCING things is so important.
