Great points Swin, Noble Energy in February-March will go for a second drilling in Cyprus despite Turkish threats and Lebanon also announced oil exploration a week ago without resolving their dispute with Israel. The timing of all these moves is concerning with all the things that are happening in Syria and Egypt. Mediterranean powder keg. :dynamite:
it would be a powderkeg even if the countries involved didn't already have longstanding disputes hatred for one another. but they do -- nothing good will come out of all this,
+1 Med is and always was a tough neighborhood unfortunately and this won't end well. Don't get me wrong, it's Greece's and Cyprus right to do whatever they want in their seas according to intl. law despite the threats, but i would prefer if this was happening under different circumstances and not with IMF/ECB governing both Greece and Cyprus to serve their geopolitical agenda in the region.
