Original Message Well I finally reserved a spot in a CCW course today. Should've done it long ago, but I digest. (I know, it's digress)

I've heard a few horror stories over the last several months from permit holders. We seem to have some local police who don't look kindly on citizens arming themselves. The worst was being pulled over by police and having guns drawn on them for no reason other than the cops knew they had a permit from running the plate number.

I know the proper procedures (roll window down hands clearly visible on steering wheel & calmly informing them if you're carrying). I'm not worried about being pulled over I have nothing to hide. I just don't relish the thought of a cop pointing his weapon at me and screaming. Especially since I'm nearly completely deaf and likely won't understand what it is they're screaming at me.

I'm certainly not going to let my concern keep me from excercising my right to be able to defend myself. I'm just curious if anyone holding a permit has experienced this sort of thing?
