[quote:Anonymous Coward 31926327:MV8yMTA3ODAzXzM1NTI4Mzk4X0ZBMUE0NkU4] Jesus is God Almighty Creator of everything But he came in the form of a man with no more power than Adam had before he disobeyed God. Read this below. Who do you say Jesus is ? John 12:44-45 44 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in me, believes not in me, but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees me sees Him who sent me. Jesus is making it clear here that you are to believe in him, yet Jesus wants you to mature in him and understand something else quite wonderful about him. That is that the one who sent him is in fact the same one you see when you look at Jesus. Jesus is God Almighty the Father however while on earth he never operated with more power than that of a son. So before you misunderstand read the rest of this document. Isaiah 45-21-23 21 Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the Lord? And there is no other God besides me, a just God and a Savior; There is none besides me. Jesus is a just God and Savior and it states there is no GOD or Savior besides the God of Israel. Since this is Jewish scripture then Jesus is either God and Savior or he is not. If this scripture is true and for correctly taught Christians we know it is, then Jesus is God Almighty the creator and our Heavenly Father. John 1 makes that clear as well. 22 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. Once again God declares there is no God but the God of Israel 23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall take an oath. Notice above God said he has sworn by himself and to him every knee shall bow. If every knee is going to bow to Jesus then Jesus has to be God Almighty our Father. John 14:9 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Isaiah 9:6 6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And his name will be called; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. John 20:26-28 26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” So who is Jesus Christ according to the scriptures above? Jesus is God the Father the creator, but when Jesus became flesh he came as a son with no more power than Adam had before the fall. Adam had great authority and wisdom with God in the garden until he fell. Jesus had to pass the test Adam failed to redeem us which was temptation and obedience. If Jesus had used his power as God rather than limit himself to no more power than Adam had before the fall then Lucifer would have known who Jesus was and from God’s point of view it would have been cheating. When Jesus said he considered it robbery to be considered equal to God he did mean it. Even though Jesus was the Father he was operating with only the power Adam had as a son before the fall. Any other power Jesus manifested he attested to the Holy Spirit's work. The Holy spirit also spoke out of heaven saying concerning Jesus, ” This is my beloved Son in whom I’m well pleased.” Jesus also said ” The father is greater than I.” Note there is no contradiction here, Jesus at this point in time was limiting himself in power to that of a son. Jesus knew he had to die for us in order to redeem us and Israel legally, Jesus also knew he had to keep hidden the fullness of who he was until all was fulfilled, but Jesus gave us clues everywhere who he was. When Jesus died on the Cross for us he died as a real son of God because he limited himself in power to that of a son, but when Jesus rose for our justification he no longer had to hide who he was. Peter said you are the son of the living God, and Jesus affirmed that without correction to Peter. Years later doubting Thomas said MY LORD AND MY GOD and Jesus did not correct him. Before Jesus had ascended he said to Mary ” Do not touch me Mary for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Later he said to Thomas, put your hand in my side and touch my wound and be believing not faithless. The scriptures declare that no one can say Jesus is Lord (with faith & understanding) without the Holy Spirit. The Word Lord in the Greek is Kurios, it is as Thomas spoke it. It does not mean Lord Churchill or some knighted person from England. It means LORD as in God Almighty. Most Christians call Jesus Lord but do not even know what the Greek and Hebrew meanings for the word Lord mean. The writer of the Gospels were NOT confused about who Jesus was after it was revealed. They made it clear in their writings what they meant. They could have used many usages of the greek concerning the word Lord. In the Greek the writers could have used the word Lord that means like a landlord or a banker or even a person with great authority but lessor than God, but they did not use that usage. The Greek word for Lord they used the word Kurios, which means God and Master. This is the exact word Thomas pronounced about Jesus when he finally got it right and said to Jesus: "My Lord and God" 1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit. Did you notice that above, it says no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. I'm sure every atheist could say Jesus is Lord pretending for a good laugh if they wanted to. So what does this scripture really mean for a Christian? Why do you need the Holy Spirit in order to say this with real understanding and faith. Because you cannot say until the Holy Spirit reveals to you what it really means, and you cannot say it as a real believer unless you know it is absolutely true. The writer used the word Kurios for Lord in this scripture. Kurios means God Almighty and Master. So if the scripture is true and all real Christians really believe the scripture, then they should say, "No one can say Jesus is God Almighty except by the Holy Spirit." That is what this scripture means in the original Greek and that is what is actually saying. If the English translators had any guts at all they would have translated that way. They knew what the word Kurios means. Now Jesus does not require you to understand this to be saved, however to really know him it is quite important. Now I made it really clear in the first portion of this page how to reconcile some of the other misunderstandings. Those of you who do not know who Jesus is but say you are Christian then you are at best a Christian who wants to believe but mostly likely has never had a real experience with the Holy Spirit of Jesus. If you have had that experience then you have yet to get serious with studying the scriptures with the Holy Spirit's help, because the Holy Spirit would have surely shown this to you and help you understand it if you asked. If you are over dependent on Pastors and preachers this may also be the other reason. You have to get to the place where the Holy Spirit is always your first teacher. If you lean to much on pastor then they even the best of them will limit your growth and relationship with the Holy Spirit. So if you do not yet understand this then mostly likely you are a baby Christian at best concerning the word of God and may have good and honest intentions. However you have very little understanding. I hope you will mature in Christ Jesus the Lord our God and seek his Holy Spirit to teach you. Every disciple of Jesus Christ when they called Jesus Lord knew what they were saying, they were saying that Jesus Christ is God. I think its about time you know too. Notes: Jehovah is an anglicized representation of Hebrew a vocalization of the Tetragrammaton (YHWH), the proper name of the God of Israel in the Hebrew Bible. In the Greek translation of the Bible that was used in the time of Jesus, the personal name of God, YAHWEH, was translated into Greek as (kurios), translates into English as Lord or Master The New Testament Greek Lexicon Strong's Number: 2962 Original Word Word Origin κύριος from kuros (supremacy) Transliterated Word Phonetic Spelling kyrios koo'-ree-os Parts of Speech TDNT Noun Masculine 3:1039,486 Definition he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, lord the possessor and disposer of a thing the owner; one who has control of the person, the master in the state: the sovereign, prince, chief, the Roman emperor is a title of honour expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master this title is given to: God, the Messiah Translated Words KJV (748) - Lord, 667; Sir, 6; lord, 54; master, 11; misc, 4; sir, 6; NAS (720) - Lord, 626; Lord of lords, 2; Lord's, 12; lord, 10; lords, 1; master, 38; master's, 3; masters, 8; masters', 1; owner, 6; owners, 1; sir, 11; sirs, 1 So the scripture is true, ” No one can say Jesus Christ is God Almighty (LORD) except by the Holy Spirit. That is what that scripture really means. No one can say Jesus is God except by the Holy Spirit. If you say Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings then what you are really saying is that Jesus is God above all Gods King above kings. So be the truth Amen and Forever Amen. I praise you Father Jesus Father God, Holy Holy is the God of Abraham Praise to Jesus Christ in the Highest
There is one God(Deut. 6:4) in three persons(Matt. 28:19).
Jesus is God(John 1:1,14; 1Timothy 3:16). Jesus thought it NOT ROBBERY to be equal with God(Philippians 2:6) but being in the flesh humbled Himself to His Father to give to us an example to follow.
Another name for God is...I AM(Exodus 3:14). Jesus said, before Abraham was...I AM(John 8:58).[googlevid][liveleak]
