That's fair isn't it? If you're unable to predict something as simple as this -- an outcome in a known cultural event that will take place on a definite day and time -- then you probably should't be fiddling with comparatively more complex events like earthquakes, sun doom, antichrists, and WW3.

Want to earn a following for yourself? Think you know something that no one else knows because you're really something special? Well, here's your annual chance to prove it.
It's this simple:
You are to name the two teams that will play in the Super Bowl.
For your correct prediction, you will receive one internet point. You can also receive an additional internet bonus point if you call the score in the Super Bowl, and two internet bonus points if you call an unusual event -- mundane or significant -- that occurs *** DURING *** the Super Bowl.
For the predictiontards that do not watch sports or care about the NFL, one team each from the AFC and NFC will play in the Super Bowl. The following eight teams will play each other in "sudden death" (one game) playoffs starting this weekend. The winners of this round will advance to their divisional championships the next weekend. The two final teams of that round will play in the Super Bowl.
Listed below are the potential teams for 2013 (Super Bowl XLVII).

1) predict the two final teams that will play in the Super Bowl
and receive ONE internet point; these teams will be decided on January 20
2) call the score in the Super Bowl for ONE additional internet point
Super Bowl XLVII is in New Orleans on February 3
3) call an event *** relative to the game, meaning it has to be televised in the game itself ***
that happens during the Super Bowl for TWO additional internet points
